FAQ’S

Torri’s Trims believes in providing not only top-notch care for your furry friends but also ensuring that you, as a pet parent, have all the information you need.

My commitment to professionalism and compassion extends beyond the grooming table, and I understand that you may have questions about services, grooming techniques, or how to best care for your beloved pets between appointments.

Feel free to explore the comprehensive information below, and if there's anything more you'd like to know or discuss, please contact me. Thank you for entrusting me with the care of your furry family members – I look forward to exceeding your expectations!

Do you express anal glands?

Torri’s Trims does not express anal glands as they are an internal organ. It is easy for a gland to rupture during an external expression. Please call your Vet if you need your dog’s glands checked.

Do you pluck ears?

Yes, as needed and only if the dog will tolerate the process. The ears may not be completely hair-free. However, if air is allowed to get into the ear canal, ear infections can be less likely.

Do you clip or Dremel the nails?

Torri’s Trims will perform whichever process the dog tolerates best.  If a dog is struggling where they feel the need to defend themselves, all attempts are stopped and a referral to your vet is given.

Do I have to pay if my dog is not cooperating?

Prices are all-inclusive (except for a de-shed treatment). This means services are not individually priced but are all-inclusive for the animal’s needs. It also means I do not discount if a service is not completed due to behavioral or medical concerns.

Do you groom a dog that is medicated?

Yes. The dog must have the ability to stand on its own, however.

Do you require proof of vaccination?

Yes. This must be the receipt from your vet or the vaccination certificate.

Do you groom cats?

No.

What age will you groom a puppy?

If the puppy has had their initial vaccinations, I will groom them.

Do you do de-sheds?

Yes. There is an additional $20 clean-up fee added for this service.

Do you offer de-matting services?

This is a case-by-case basis. Some animals need a few extra minutes to get tangles out. In many cases, a shave down is needed to avoid causing the animal an extraordinary amount of discomfort.
